This week we bring you an amazing conversation with Dame Catherine Healy. She spearheaded the decriminalisation of sex work in New Zealand, is national co-ordinator and founding member of the NZPC, Aotearoa New Zealand Sex Workers' Collective, the only sex worker union in New Zealand, and is world-renowned speaker, researcher and advocate for sex workers rights and de-stigmatising our sex workers.

#07 - Ash Holwell / Raising kids without gender

We're back after a little easter break. This week, we bring you the wonderful Ash Holwell!

Born in Whangārei NZ, Ash has trained, studied and worked as an industrial designer, artist, and theatre maker in Wellington, Rotterdam, Vienna, and Auckland. He is known in both Whangarei and Pōneke as a free-thinking entrepreneur, who creates spaces for community connection and radical resource distribution from the ground up. In Whangarei, he started Whare Bike, OneOneSix and in Te Whanganui a Tara he has recently opened Two/Fifty Seven, a collaborative workspace in the CBD encouraging cross-pollination across arts and business to amplify the impact of people working for the social good. He talks to us today as the father of Indigo Taetaeata Fox, who he is raising and supporting to grow into who they are without gender.

#06 - Chye-Ling Huang / Asian sexuality and open relationships

We sat down with Chye-Ling Huang, who is a Chinese-Pākehā director, writer and actress, and co-founder of Proudly Asian Theatre Company, which is dedicated to showcasing and empowering Asian storytellers in Aotearoa. She is currently lighting up the small screen in New Zealand playing 'Theo' on our national soap - Shortland Street. She dropped in to talk to us about her documentary Asian Men Talk About Sex and her experience of the intersections between sex, sexuality and Asian identity in New Zealand... and some other juicy stuff too.

This week we're sharing a conversation with Kassie Hartendorp who is an incredible political activist and a passionate advocate for the LGBTQIA and takatāpui communities. She is Director at ActionStation - which is an independent, crowdfunded, community campaigning organisation - and studies Ahunga Tikanga – which are Māori Laws and Philosophy at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. She came to talk to us about indigenous gender, sexuality and the decolonisation of the ways we educate and celebrate LGBTQIA communities.

#04 - Mark Fisher / HIV and making babies

This weeks interview is with Mark Fisher, an international and now local leader in the HIV sector, who now heads Body Positive, an organisation committed to advancing the care and quality of life for people living with HIV in Aotearoa. He has also worked closely with Women Positive and NZ Aids Foundation to set up the world’s first ever HIV positive Sperm Bank in 2019, which he will talk more about with us today, and the ongoing stigma that still surrounds the HIV positive community.

Sarita Das is a non-binary, queer, Bengali-Pakeha powerhouse who is both multi-disciplinary artist and Somatic Sex Educator. Sex in Space Episode #01 goes live, with Richie Hardcore. Richie is an educator, public speaker, and activist; working in violence prevention, drug and alcohol abuse prevention, sexual consent, mental health, and wellness.
